Testimonials from Musicians

I met David Scott Lynn right at the moment when I was considering ending my career as a classical cellist. I had incessant shooting pains in my forearm, and was not able to play for more than 5 minutes. After seeing many of Boston’s top professionals, with no success, I had pretty much given up hope. At the recommendation of my cello instructor at the time, Paul Katz, I went to see DSL for help. . . . Even within the first few sessions, I began to feel more improvement with him than with all the others I had worked with combined. After a few months of working with DSL, the tension melted away and the pain stopped. It has been over two [now FOUR!!! — DSL] years since I’ve had a session with DSL, and I am still pain free. In addition, his knowledge in yoga and stretching has helped me keep my whole body loose and flexible. . . . With DSL’s help, I am now well on my way to realizing my dreams as a cellist. I am forever indebted to David, and would HIGHLY recommend him to anyone who is seeking a better, easier, more pain free lifestyle.

David Huckaby, New York City, NY
Classical Cellist now Studying at Juliard on Full Scholarship

A serious teenage bike injury, a fall off a hill at the Marlboro Music Festival in 1968, and a malignant melanoma on my left arm when I was 26 years old, have all contributed to a lifetime of physical concerns and pain management. Of the myriad of Doctors, Physical and Massage Therapists, Chiropractors, Yoga and exercise instructors I have used, none have helped me as has David Scott Lynn. His treatments are both preventative and curative his work holds. I am at least an inch taller than two years ago, and am enjoying strong, healthy, virtually pain free cello playing. David has an encyclopedic knowledge of anatomy, and more importantly, has extraordinary perceptions of the interrelatedness of muscles, nerves, fascia, emotions, and the mind. … He has been an invaluable resource to the faculty and student body of the New England Conservatory of Music.

Paul Katz, Cellist, Boston, MA

Katz has numerous awards from leading American universities and cultural institutions, including Indiana University, “Chevalier du Violoncello, and The American String Teacher, Artist Teacher of the Year for 2003. One of the world’s most prominent cello teachers, he teaches at The New England Conservatory of Music in Boston.
